About Luis Márquez Studio

Luis Marquez creates sculptural ironworks by hand in his studio in Hutto, Texas.

For more than 28 years, he has shaped iron into functional art—pieces inspired by nature, movement, and the quiet poetry of everyday life.

Born in Colombia in 1967, Luis discovered his passion for hand-sculpting through years of working alongside artists and craftsmen, learning traditional techniques such as forging iron, melting metal, and fusing recycled glass in his kiln.

Each creation begins with raw material and fire. Iron is heated, bent, hammered, and formed inch by inch into organic shapes that feel alive—branches, nests, petals, and flowing silhouettes.

Luis’s candleholders often feature eclectic beads from Africa and Tagua seeds from Colombia, topped with pure beeswax tapers. His lamps incorporate hammered copper, slate, and handmade paper shades crafted delicately by his wife, Loren, whose gentle artistic touch supports every collection.

Every piece is made slowly, intentionally, and uniquely—designed to last a lifetime and become the soul of a room.
